Incidencia de circular de cordón umbilical al cuello en relación con el apgar del recién nacido atendido en el Centro de Salud Perú – Corea. Huánuco 2021

Objetivo: Determinar la incidencia de circular de cordón umbilical al cuello en relación con el puntaje del Apgar que presentan los recién nacidos atendidos en el Centro de Salud Perú – Corea. Huánuco 2021 Metodología: Se llevó a cabo un estudio no experimental, relacional de tipo transversal y retrospectivo; la muestra estuvo conformada por 196 historias clínicas de gestantes y recién nacidos que al momento del parto presentaron circular de cordón umbilical. Resultados: Los resultados revelaron que la mayoría de los recién nacidos que presentaban circular de cordón umbilical al cuello fueron de tipo "Múltiple" (28,1%) y de grado "Rechazable" (54,1%). En la mayoría de los casos no se encontró una asociación significativa entre el tipo de circular de cordón umbilical al cuello y los puntajes de Apgar al minuto y a los cinco minutos, pero se encontró una relación significativa considerando el tipo de circular de cordón umbilical al cuello de grado ajustable y puntaje de Apgar al minuto moderadamente deprimido (4,1% de los casos), con un valor de Chi cuadrado de 9.823 y p=0.002. Entre las características maternas predominaron las madres jóvenes (54,6%), multígestas (67,3%) y edad gestacional de 39 semanas (32,1%). El sexo predominante de los recién nacidos fue femenino (56,1%) y el 98% tuvo un peso adecuado. Conclusión: Se concluye que la incidencia de circular de cordón umbilical al cuello no se relaciona directamente con el puntaje del Apgar al minuto y a los cinco minutos en los recién nacidos, sin embargo, se identificó una asociación significativa entre el tipo de circular de grado ajustable y el Apgar moderadamente deprimido al minuto.
