Diabetes Mellitus Tipo II y enfermedad renal en pacientes atendidos en el Hospital Hermilio Valdizán – Huánuco, 2023

Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre la diabetes mellitus tipo II y enfermedad renal en pacientes atendidos en el Hospital Hermilio Valdizán – Huánuco, 2023. Metodología. Estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo, relacional, observacional, prospectivo, transversal y analítico; realizado mediante la técnica de la encuesta en 45 pacientes diabéticos, para la descripción se utilizó tablas y gráficos, para la relación Rho Spearman. Resultados. La mayoría fueron mujeres (51,11%), 41 a 60 años (55,56%); domicilio urbano (73,33%); diagnostico más de 10 años (73,33%); IMC normal (57,78%); glicemia alta (84,44%), ERC (82,22%), creatinina >1.5 mg/dl (66,67%); urea >50 mg/dl (53,33%); HTA (60%). El control de diabetes fue moderado (71,11%); igual en las dimensiones: Control glucémico (57,78%); estilo de vida (73,33%) y conocimiento (53,33%); mientras deficiente en: tratamiento (73,33%) y complicación (80%). El (57,78%) presentó nivel de riesgo moderado de enfermedad renal; alto en sus dimensiones: función renal (40%) y presión arterial (68,89); complicaciones asociadas baja (86,67%) y signos/síntomas moderados (51,11%). Observándose una correlación negativa débil no significativa (p = 0,0200; rs = -0,040) entre las dos variables. En cuanto al DM II y función renal (p = 0,000; rs = -0,113); complicaciones asociadas (p = 0,000; rs = -0,133), control de presión arterial (p = 0,000; rs = -0,113) y signos/síntomas (p = 0,000; rs = 0,163). Conclusiones. Aunque no se encontró una relación significativa entre las variables, el análisis de dimensiones específicas reveló varias asociaciones importantes.
