Implementación de la herramienta Bussiness Process Management (BPM) para mejorar el proceso de seguimiento de egresados en la Universidad Nacional Intercultural de la Amazonía
Abstract
La importancia del BPM y los BPMS, esta emergiendo como un factor clave y estratégico, el cual las organizaciones están adoptando con más frecuencia para mejorar sus procesos y recursos empresariales. Constituyen uno de los principales eje de inversión TI en la empresa y Administración Pública. Claramente la tecnología BPM, combina con una adecuada Gestión de Procesos, debe tener características especificas para ofreser fexibilidad y agilidad en la evolución y dinamismo de los procesos de negocio y sistema informático asociados.
La presente tesis se desarrollo sobre la base de las oportunidades de mejora encontradas en los procesos de selección, evaluación del rendimiento y otorgamiento de privilegio para los egresados de la Universidad Nacional Intercultural de la Amazonia. Para ello, se propone el desarrollo de un sistema que permite automatizar y monitorear el proceso de seguimiento a los egresados. De esta manera hacer de la información un recurso disponible e íntegro para los responsables de administrar el proceso, en beneficio de la Universidad. En la Universidad Intercultural de la Amazonia. No se cuenta con datos exáctos de egresados y graduados por año, no contar con información actualizadas de su centro de trabajo, su hoja de vida actualizada, tampoco con la información de sus empleadores. Para cubrir esta necesidad, se propone, con objetivo, contar con un sistema basada en herramienta BPM (Business Process Management) que automatice y monitoree los procesos referidos seguimiento a los egresados. Para lograr dicho objetivo se procedió, en una primera fase a comprender, modelar y documentar los procesos de la oficina de Grados y Títulos a través de herramientas orientadas a BPM de manera que se establezca claramente quienes son los responsables y la información que se maneja en cada uno de los procesos de área.
