La violencia lntrafamiliar de abuso del Género femenino ha puesto en el escenario académico gran cantidad de estudios e investigaciones que revelan diversos modos de construcción de la subjetividad femenina, a partir de la ubicación social de las mujeres en la cultura descripta como patriarcal. Esto ha generado intensos debates sociales, políticos, económicos, poniendo de relieve la condición de marginación de las mujeres en tales espacios. A la vez se han estudiado las marcas que deja en la constitución de las subjetividades femeninas semejantes procesos de exclusión. Como resultado de tales análisis, se han ofrecido diversas hipótesis provenientes de teorías psicoanalíticas acerca de la constitución de la subjetividad femenina que, entrecruzadas con aquellas provenientes de los estudios de género, ofrecen una masa interesante de datos y de nuevas hipótesis para seguir avanzando en este campo de conocimientos. Tal entrecruzamiento teórico y de prácticas clínicas en sus comienzos fue arduo y difícil, debido más bien a relaciones de tensión entre ambas corrientes disciplinarias. Esta situación se caracterizó al principio por enfatizar, a veces hasta el paroxismo, las relaciones críticas y conflictivas entre los estudios de género y las teorías psicoanalíticas. Si bien todavía persisten algunos rasgos de aquella situación de exasperación crítica y a menudo desestimante una de la otra, en la actualidad estamos intentando fertilizar mutuamente el campo con hipótesis provenientes de ambas disciplinas, en un esfuerzo por articular aquellos conocimientos que se hayan revelado como fructíferos.
