Inteligencia emocional y su relación con el tipo de liderazgo en enfermeras con cargos directivos del hospital nacional Dos de Mayo – Lima 2017
Abstract
Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre la inteligencia emocional y el tipo de liderazgo en enfermeras con cargos directivos.
Métodos: Se llevó a cabo un estudio correlacional con 32 enfermeras con cargos directivos del Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo – Lima, durante el periodo 2017. Se empleó un inventario de inteligencia emocional y un cuestionario multifactorial de liderazgo. En el análisis inferencial se utilizó la Prueba de Correlaciones de r de Pearson.
Resultados: El 68,8% (22 enfermeros) presentaron inteligencia emocional media y según tipo de liderazgo, el 90,6% (29 enfermeros) manifestaron liderazgo transformacional, el 87,5% (28 enfermeros) presentaron liderazgo transaccional y el 78,1% (25 enfermeros) mostraron liderazgo pasivo-evitativo. Por otro lado, la inteligencia emocional se relaciona significativamente con el tipo de liderazgo transformacional, liderazgo transaccional y liderazgo pasivo-evitativo, siendo todas significativas estadísticamente (p≤0,05).
Conclusiones: La inteligencia emocional se relaciona con el tipo de liderazgo en enfermeras con cargos directivos del Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo – Lima.
