La presente investigación responde a una necesidad básica para el proceso de comprensión: el desarrollo inferencial. Todo lo anterior fue reflejado en las evaluaciones PISA 2012 (384), que ubican al Perú en el último lugar de 65 países evaluados y ECE 2014 (48%), que ubica a Huánuco en el penúltimo lugar en cuanto a comprensión lectora. Por todo ello y respondiendo a esas necesidades se ha optado por las paremias como medio para mejorar el desarrollo inferencial. Para responder los objetivos de esta investigación se ha optado por un diseño cuasi experimental y de tipo cuantitativo con un pre y postest, en dos grupos: grupo control (G.C.) y grupo experimental (G.E.) Los resultados que se obtuvieron luego de la aplicación del módulo sobre el análisis de paremia fue favorable para el grupo experimental, lo que no ocurrió con el grupo control, manteniendo su tendencia a los largo del proceso investigativo. Los resultados corroboraron con la hipótesis general de la investigación. Por todo ello, se concluye de manera general, que las paremias es un buen medio para mejorar el desarrollo inferencial.
