Incidencia de la educación básica regular sobre la pobreza monetaria en la Región Huánuco, período 2010 – 2020
Abstract
El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la incidencia de los niveles educativos
de la Educación Básica Regular (EBR) sobre la condición de ser pobre según la línea de
la pobreza monetaria de los individuos mayores de 18 años de edad de la población de la
región Huánuco durante el período 2010-2020. Para tal fin, se emplea como marco teórico
la Teoría del Capital Humano, asimismo, se usan datos de la ENAHO para la estimación
de un modelo Logit. Los principales resultados muestran que los individuos que cuentan
con: (i) educación inicial, su probabilidad de ser pobre monetariamente se reduce solo en
0.105 puntos porcentuales; (ii) educación primaria, su probabilidad de ser pobre
monetariamente se reduce en 2.182 puntos porcentuales; y (iii) educación secundaria, su
probabilidad de ser pobre monetariamente se reduce en 3.759 puntos porcentuales. Se
concluye que contar con un nivel educativo de EBR mayor tiende a reducir la probabilidad
de ser pobre.
